CNY Hamper Reflections

•What are we doing? What have we done?
- We are wrapping a hamper for the elderly . We bought things that we thing is helpful and useful to them to add in the hamper.
•How do we think that we are affecting the recipients of the hamper? What will be different for them?
- I think that we can make them feel that people care for them and they are not alone in this society. They might be happier and be more optimistic when facing problems as people will be there to lend a helping hand .
•What could be our next step to care for this group of recipients?
- We could visit them and express our care and concern and we could also accompany them to go out to exercise .

One of the highlights was the climbing the elements during orientation camp and also the campfire during the orientation week . The last highlight is the Tower Building exercise during the first week of the orientation .
The first 'low' moments was the time when we had to sleep on the hard wooden floor , secondly , during the time when we had to do our reflections . Lastly , when we were leaving the camp .
I learnt about the 3Rs , the rules we have to abide to in class and most importantly what applied learning is.
I learnt that there is nothing I cannot do if i persevere until the end .
I am looking forward to more group activities and class outings .

Communication is important as we need to communicate to give instructions , work together and interact with others .
My favourite form of communications is talking face to face . I think that it is respectful and easy to do.
We can decide which form of communications to use by looking at what we have to say . For example if our message is very long and complicated , we might choose to call the other party but if our message is short and sweet , we might choose to sent a short message the other party.
Difficulties we face might be the other party not understanding our message or we might not be able to understand others . We might also use the wrong form of communication .

Day 1 Mac Attack 1 - Activity 4: End-of-Day Reflection

Today , we went through alot of activities like the cheers and dance . We were also told about the 3 Rs ( Roles , Rights , Responsibilities ) and we had to do class and group discussions about what we had learnt. I enjoyed some icebreaker games and got to briefly know each others . I learnt the meanings and definitions of the 3Rs . Some of my classmates also shared some of their thoughts about the 3 Rs .
I chose to come to SST as I am interested in Science . I hope to excel in Science and improve my other studies too. I aspire to become a doctor and to do that , I have to work even harder than I am doing right now.
I have gained more knowledge on the 3Rs after a day's lesson.
